Understanding and supporting autistic girls requires us to look beyond the traditional picture of autism. This practical and evidence-based session explores the unique ways autism can present in girls — from social communication and masking, to friendship dynamics, sensory needs and classroom participation. Participants will gain insight into why autistic girls are often missed or misdiagnosed, and learn how to recognise and respond to their needs with empathy, curiosity, and student-led support. The webinar offers practical examples for building inclusive school environments and strengthening belonging for all students.
