ConnectEd Community Giving
At ConnectEd, we believe that strong communities start with strong support systems. We also know that not every school, service, or community has the same access to resources—and that shouldn’t be a barrier to connection, growth, or care.
What is ConnectEd Community Giving?
This initiative is our way of giving back. We’re committed to offering free or heavily subsidised professional development, resources, and mentoring opportunities to communities who need a bit of extra support—particularly those in rural and regional areas, or those facing systemic disadvantage or financial barriers.
Whether it’s a school struggling with stretched wellbeing staff, a small counselling team with limited access to PD, or a regional network looking for connection and support—we want to help.
What we offer
Each year, we allocate a number of fully funded or subsidised places in our programs, including:
The ConnectEd School PD Series
Live webinars and on-demand training
We also occasionally run community-led projects, offering workshops or talks free of charge in areas where we can make the biggest impact.
Who can apply?
We invite schools, services, or individuals working in education, mental health, or pastoral care in under-resourced or rural communities to reach out. Whether you’re nominating your team or advocating for someone else—we’d love to hear from you. Check out the eligibility criteria below
How to apply
Applications are simple. Just complete the short form below and tell us a bit about your context and what support would be most helpful. We assess requests on a rolling basis, guided by need and available places.
Let’s stay connected

Eligibility criteria
We welcome applications from individuals, schools, or organisations that meet one or more of the following:
✅ You are based in a rural, regional, or remote community
Where access to PD, mentoring, or wellbeing services is limited due to geography.
✅ You are working in a context of systemic or structural disadvantage
This may include schools or services with high levels of disadvantage, limited funding, or significant barriers to accessing external support. We prioritise settings where funding for wellbeing and professional development is low due to genuine resourcing constraints, not internal budget decisions.
✅ You are doing impactful work with limited support
Whether you’re a wellbeing coordinator wearing five hats, a counsellor supporting a large cohort solo, or a small team stretched thin—we’re here for those who are doing big work with limited capacity.
✅ You are ready to engage
We want this support to make a difference. We’re looking for people and teams who will actively participate and share what they learn.
Once our allocation for spots has been taken up, we won’t be able to offer any further spots until the next round opens up
Who this is not intended for
This program is designed to support schools and services that are genuinely limited in their access to funding and professional learning opportunities. We understand that all schools operate within budget constraints, but we aim to prioritise those where the challenge is due to limited resourcing—not simply competing internal priorities.
If your school or organisation has the capacity to invest in wellbeing and development but has chosen to direct funding elsewhere, we kindly ask you to consider whether this offering is the right fit—so we can reserve support for those experiencing genuine barriers to access.
