ConnectEd School Practice Hub
Practical ideas, shared by people working in and around schools
Launching in 2027. The ConnectEd School Practice Hub will bring together short, practical professional learning from people working in and around schools.
Practitioners will share a focused idea, process, tool, project or lesson from their work. Sessions will be free to watch, easy to share and paired with a professional presenter profile so viewers can learn more about the people behind the practice.

About the Hub
Good practice is worth sharing
A lot of useful knowledge never travels far beyond the person, team or school that developed it. The Hub is designed to create a simple way for practitioners to share what they have learned with a wider professional community.
These are not intended to be polished conference keynotes. They will be concise, useful professional learning sessions from people with something specific worth passing on.
What you’ll find
Practical processes, tools, systems, interventions, reflections, project learnings and examples from school-based work.
Who contributes
People working in and around schools across psychology, counselling, pastoral care, education, allied health, research and leadership.
How to use the Hub
Watch the session that fits what you need, follow up the presenter’s resources, and pass useful sessions on to colleagues.

What a Practice Hub session will look like
Below is one of our existing free ConnectEd presentations, shown here as an example of how a Practice Hub page will bring together the presenter, their professional profile, the video and clear takeaways in one place.
Future Hub sessions will feature practitioners from across school communities and will remain free to access.

Example presentation
Raising boys – Into the (hu)manosphere
There is a lot of noise around boys, young men, masculinity, resilience and what it means to become a “good man”. In this free presentation, Matt explores some of the assumptions adults can hold about boys and asks whether those assumptions always help.
The session shifts the focus away from narrow ideas about raising “men” and towards the relationships, emotional connection, boundaries and sense of belonging that help young people grow into kind, capable and connected adults.
In this session
- Question common assumptions about boys, girls and masculinity.
- Consider how adult expectations can shape the way children understand themselves.
- Explore relationships, emotional connection, caring boundaries and feeling seen as foundations for healthy development.
Recorded in 2026. This is an existing ConnectEd free parenting presentation being used here to demonstrate the Practice Hub format. Future Practice Hub contributions will feature their presenter profile and professional links in the same way.
The presentation above is an example only. The School Practice Hub will focus on short professional learning contributed by people working in and around schools.

Have something useful to share?
We are interested in specific, practical sessions from people working in and around schools — psychologists, counsellors, pastoral and wellbeing staff, educators, allied health professionals, researchers and school leaders.
You might share a process you improved, a project you learned from, a tool you use, a framework you have adapted, or a lesson that could make someone else’s work easier or better.
Expressions of interest will open shortly. You do not need to record anything before applying. If you already have an idea, you are welcome to get in touch now.
Presenter contributions will be voluntary and unpaid. Presenters retain ownership of their original content. Selected sessions will be published free through ConnectEd and may also be featured within relevant ConnectEd PD libraries or learning pathways while remaining freely accessible.
